There are certain design flaws and obvious color-clashing issues that can not only make your page difficult to read but positively unsightly, too.

This means that the area or areas on your page that contain the important information, links, etc. should draw the reader’s eyes to them.

Now, onto the clashing links issue.  Not only are clashing links unsightly, but they can be difficult to read, especially when placed near one another and look downright unprofessional.

In my personal opinion they look sloppy and lead me to believe that one or more of them were inserted as an after-thought, which leads me to believe that the person managing the page is not professional.

When I visit a website that has clashing link colors it raises my suspicion and I’m not very likely to click on any of the links.

The other problem you may have is that certain browser’s do not support all link colors, so a color that one person’s browser will display, another person’s browser may not.

This will lead to a drop in clicks on your site, too.  You would be wise to stick to more traditional link colors that you know are supported by all browsers.

As you can see, simple, little design flaws and choices can have a big impact on your business.

The next step you need to take after getting good content on your site is to make use of the keywords in the content articles.

You’ll want to make a list of keywords in the articles on each page of your website.  Once you’ve done this you need to contact your web master and ask him/her to name each of your web pages with one of these keywords.

Your web master will likely be able to tell you which of the keywords will be most effective for your site.

If not you can use a keyword search tool (Google search keyword rankings) and find which will get you the most clicks.
