Customer loyalty has always been vital to the success of a business. If you’re in business and don’t offer enough, provide high quality products or services, or maintain pricing, your customers may be tempted to go elsewhere.

In traditional brick and mortar businesses this has always been a concern. However, on the web it’s far easier for a dissatisfied customer to just click a couple of times and find another business to spend their money with.

When it comes to maintaining your customer’s loyalty on the web the key to doing so is offering more of what your customers want and backing it with stellar customer service.

While this may seem like a daunting task to undertake, and it does require hard work, it’s not as difficult as you may think. So how do you offer your customers what they want and how they want it?

The most essential factor in giving your customers just what they want is first, knowing what they want. This requires research on your part.

If you’ve not yet started your business take the time to check out the successful competition in your niche of choice and see what they offer.

If you’re already in business you need your customers’ feedback. Include a feedback form on your website to give your customers the opportunity to provide suggestions to you.

Not only will this make them feel important and appreciated, but it will give you valuable insight, too.

Maintaining your customers’ loyalty is not difficult once you get to know them.

Remember, while it will undoubtedly take more time and effort to keep your customers happy and loyal, the amount of time you spend on knowing their wants and needs and meeting them is far less than the time it would take to try to rebuild your business if you lost your best customers to the competition.

We all love to read success stories. Not only do they make us feel good, but they’re encouraging, as well.

While we’ve all read success stories on various topics, some of the most encouraging stories to read are those that are written about people in a similar situation as you.

The following tidbits are based on true success stories of affiliate marketers.

Without naming individuals’ names or giving site links I’m going to give two-sentence bits on several different affiliate marketing success stories.

This article would quickly become a book if I were to include bigger portions for each case. If you’d like to know more about any of these success stories a quick Google search for affiliate marketing success stories will turn up what you’re looking for.

Ebay’s affiliate program has produced many, many successful affiliate marketers. Using a variety of marketing methods such as Natural Search, Content/Niche Site and Paid Search, eBay’s affiliates have reaped the rewards of being part of a successful affiliate program.

Not nearly the scale of eBay’s affiliate program, but producing successful affiliates nonetheless, is AllSat.com’s affiliate program.

This two-tier affiliate program offering DishNetwork satellite systems has provided a very comfortable living for many of its affiliates.

Now I understand that I’ve only given two examples of affiliate marketing success stories, but there are so many more out there like these.

My hope is that by giving you just enough to really catch your attention you’ll take the time on your own when you’re finished reading this article to do a Google search of affiliate marketing success stories and read more.

Believe me, when you’re done reading a few of the stories out there you’ll be feeling very inspired and ready to take the leap into affiliate marketing.

If you’ve already taken the leap and perhaps are feeling a bit down because your progress has been slow, then this might be just the pick-me-up you need!

If you’re like many of us you’ve visited the sites of niche marketers a time or two, at least. Did you notice that some sites had a wide array of products while other sites had a more limited selection?

The reason for this is more than likely a combination of personal preference on the part of the marketer and good business sense, too. Allow me to take a moment to explain some of the reasons that were probably behind their decisions.

The first thing you need to consider is what products are out there and available to you that relate to your niche. Depending on your niche there could be a vast array of products available, or a very limited selection.

Once you’ve found sources for products that relate to your niche you’ll be ready to move on to the next step, choosing what to sell.

When it comes to selecting products to sell within your niche there are a couple of factors you need to take into consideration. Some factors to consider are listed below.

ï Cost of the products ñ Given your market you’ll want to consider how much money your customers are willing to spend on products.

If you’re unsure of this you may want to give products in a variety of prices ranges a trial run to see what sells, what doesn’t and make changes accordingly.

· Reputation of manufacturers or producers – When selecting your products be careful to choose manufacturers or producers carefully. Just because you can get a good deal on something doesn’t necessarily make it the wisest investment. If you sell shoddy products you won’t be in business long. A good rule to follow when selecting your products is: don’t try to sell anything that you yourself wouldn’t buy.

· How much can you handle, how much do you need? – Once you’ve decided on what types of products you want to sell you need to consider how many products you want to sell. While it may be tempting to try to sell everything but the kitchen sink, can you really keep up with it, and do you really want to?

On the other hand, you don’t want to have such a limited inventory that you’re not making the profit you want or offering enough to keep your customers interested.

This information ought to give you enough insight to make a wise decision on what to sell on your site.
